Thanks Everyone!

Now that Valdese, Roman and I are settling into a somewhat regular schedule I feel this blog ran its course. The blog was super helpful to communicate with friends and family during Val's labor but now that it's over we can go back to our regular program.

Thanks Everyone!

Home, Pizza, Kitties

Finally got the heck outta the hospital. Now we're home and tired is setting in. The kitties love Roman and are already back to normal.

Complications

After 24 hours of labor with no break. Labor stalled out. Valdese is exhausted to the extreme and is suffering from a swollen cervix. We opted for an epidural to ease Val's pain and will start again once her body calms down a bit. Now it's time to pass out.

Making progress...slowly

Contractions continue to slowly build with the help of a breast pump. Valdese has been taking walks in between sessions and is doing well.

We're taking a nap break now but will continue again soon.

Our Doula has been a ton of help as has the team at Seaton.

Just about 4am and Val's water might have broke. She's not having contractions so we called our doctors office who did not answer. Called our Doulas office and got a call back right away. Val's laying down to see if anything else comes out just to be sure.

Shit, forgot to pack a personal bag. Might be a good time for that. Packed a camera bag like a week ago though. 🤓
